This week Lili of the Valley ask us to choose and represent a season - easy - I'm hanging on to summer for as long as I possibly can.
This little chap is coloured in distress inks, cut with and mounted onto oval cut nesties. This typifies the 'lazy, hazy days of summer for me. The papers are DCWV Linen closet and you can actually see some of the 'brilliance' - I'd like to think my photographic skills were improving but I think it's more good luck than management. I cut the border with a Carla craft punch, ripped, tore and distressed some newspaper with vintage photo distress ink, the twine is from my garden and I've tied a clovehitch knot from which to hang the dragonfly charm. At least I think it's a clovehitch if my Girl guiding memories are correct, probably not.
Now I think that's it - it's lunchtime and I'm hungry, hope you're all having a great week and thanks for your visit.

This is gorgeous Heather. One of my favourite images and my favourite papers too! Did you use reinkers to colour? I struggle to get such a good depth of colour from my ink pads.

Love the knot & that dragonfly too - there's just something about a dragonfly. Another wonderful combination with the blue/aqua spectrum. Hope you enjoyed lunch!
