Simon Says - Paper Piecing.

This week at the Simon Says Stamp challenge we would like to see some Paper Piecing. If you are not sure how to go about this Lols give a great explanation on the challenge site.
As always, we are sponsored by the lovely Heidi who is giving the lucky winner a $25 P&P free shopping spree around the Simon Says Stamp Store

I don't know why, but when I think of paper piecing I always think of Tilda - a habit I must get out of.  The papers are Basic Grey's Eva and Tilda's suit is pieced with the very deep plummy one, I had intended to use a white gel pen to highlight where the black ink ones are but my white gel pen decided to pack in, wouldn't mind but it's nearly full!! The rest of Tilda is coloured with Copics and glittered using Crystal stickles and I masked her and sat her on the log from the Autumn  collection 2008 (I think). I also used the stickles on the edges of the papers which were distressed using the Tim Holtz distressing tool. The flowers are Prima Forever flowers and the border cut with an MS round the page punch. Everything so far can be bought from the fabulous, vast selection at the Simon Says Stamp store. The leaves I cut by hand after using a skeleton leaf as a stencil, the mat under Tilda is mulberry paper and the spacers, lace and pearls are from my stash. Oooh nearly forgot the butterfly - i pinched this from my son and altered it using metallic markers.

Right just a quick posting I now have to shoot off on an
errand of mercy.

Love the spacers, pearls & lace, such a gloriously rich vintage feel with those colours. A joy & now I have something to aim for with my TH distressing tool (so THAT'S what it's supposed to look like.......- back to the drawing board for me).
