Just Magnolia

Before I start on the card - is anyone else having problems with comments or is it just me?

I publish them then never see them again - gone - disappeared, although they do keep re-appearing in my comments list, I publish them again - then off the go and disappear again!!!

So if you've left me a comment - thank you so much, I have seen it, I have read it but don't seem to be able to publish it.

I'm having a similar problem leaving comments to day - I hit the publish button and that's it - comment disappears into thin air. I think perhaps I should give up and come back another day lol.

Right let's see if I can publish a card!!! This one is for Just Magnolia's Monthly challenge. I've missed the JM challenge the last few weeks, I seem to be having manically busy weekends, so it was a real pleasure to sit and do this card.

Tilda is coloured in Copics, and mounted on a piece of pink card cut with a MS round the page punch.  The papers are the new Peach Dream digi set from Bearly Mine Designs, I once told Donna I didn't really like florals, now she's making me eat my words, these are so scrumptious. I used the EK Success punch for the flowers, shaped them with a ball tool, inked the centers and edges, sprayed them with glimmer mist, added dots around the centres, Crystal stickles and pearl centers. There is a tutorial for this (or similar) on  the Stamparctic blog - there is also one for the bead decoration. I decided to try this as I have so many beads and pearls left from when I had a phase of making phone and bag charms. I debated using them with ribbon as a tie, but opted to just fasten them on with brads and flowers.

I didn't want to to do my usual stamping, inking or resist stamping and inking around the edges so came up with the idea of embossing. I wish I'd had the idea earlier then I could have left more space and used  a more intricate stencil. I dry embossed the edges by hand then lightly inked the embossed areas. 

I rather like this effect and shall certainly be trying this again.

Now I'm going to switch my computer off, doing something else and come back later and try again to do some commenting.
