A simple white card is this week's theme at Cuttlebug Challenges.I made a birth congratulations card for a baby girl and included pink as I felt I unsure about producing a totally white card. When I'd finished it I felt like I'd taken an easy option and that I really should have a go at an all white card. Below are the results. 
The card is 6x6" I used one of the fancy corner embossing folders (three times) down the right hand side of the card and the textile folder on the right. I took some broad white satin ribbon, wrapped it around the card, pleated it so the flower sat in the middle of the pleats. I added a diamonte brad through which I threaded a pin to which I added beads and pearls. I finished it with a simple silver on white congratulation sentiment.
This is a simple C6 card with a circle cut with nestabilites in the front. I used the textile embossing folder after cutting the aperture. I cut two borders from the floral borders background dies and threaded some pink ribbon through them and fastened them top and bottom with white brads. The HM image is coloured with pastels and attached to the inside of the card. I finished the card with a pink bow fastened with a pink pearl brad.Photographing these two was more difficult than making the cards.Materials:

The first week of the new Sugar Bowl Challenge starts with a wonderful sketch by Tiets.I use the new Basic Grey Bittersweet papers and the new image by Leanne Ellis - Choose. I wasn't sure about these new images when I first saw them but the more I looked, the more I liked. I only sent for one of them but the others are now on my evergrowing wish list, as I found it delightful to work with. I couldn't make my mind up which media to choose and ended up useing a mixture of Copics, Prismas and watercolours - indecisive - what me? The flowers brad and sentiment stamp are from stash. 
I haven't actually decorated the inside of this card yet - my Mojo deserted me on this one.
I think I managed to decorate the insides of roughly 50% last year - so far this year it's 100% minus one, but I am determined to do this one as soon as Mojo returns.Materials:

Magnolia vs Stampavie's challenge this week is a Thank You card/sketch.
I think this is one of my favourites of the winter/Christmas Magnolia collection. I coloured Tilda with Prismas - why grey - I just wanted to try her with little or no colours and I think I like the effect. I coloured the flowers (SU) with Copics, I have tried inks but like copics, though I could do with a better selection. I have been tidying up and reorganising my craft stuff, I do wish I wouldn't - I cannot find my Thank you stamp anywhere, after about an hour going through everything I gave up and computer generated the sentiment and used SU frame. I use a silver/white thread to stitch the basic papers (HOTP) and silver/grey on the frame for Tilda. I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace and Leone Em branch punches and brad and ribbon from stash. 
I really must stop photographing cards when the light has gone - even with a daylight lamp the colours are not coming out true. Trouble is my speed mojo has deserted me and I am so slow at making cards at the moment it's usually dark before I'm ready to photograph them.Penny Black's challenge this week is embossing. I've used the 'It's Your Day' stamp and coloured it with pastels. The papers are Spring Collection by Doreen Stoltz and I've used the Cuttlebug Tiny Blubbles folder (thinking it would complement the bath bubbles) on the corners which I then distressed with pastels (I find these easier than inks on embossed paper). The flower is cut with the EK success retro flower punches, leaves with theLeone Em Ash branch punch. the sentiment is computer generated and ribbon and brads from stash. 
I am not happy with the inside, might have to try and change it.
This week's Sketch Saturday challenge is a brilliant sketch by Emma. I love it - just my 'cup of tea' and will certainly be using it again. I used HOTP papers and coloured the image with watercolours. Has anyone noticed, or is it just me - most images don't really lend themselves to round or square shapes - they are more fitting for oblongs. I used SU flowers and leaves cut with the Leone Em punch. I left the inside fairly simple for this card.
