We have another of Sharon's fabulous sketches for you at Truly Scrumptious this week and this is the last challenge of 2010 - where has the year gone - who's stolen my year?
I chose this delightful image from Dewdrop Craftz and she's call FuwaFuwa and is by CupoDOTexe and I've coloured her in distress inks. The papers are called Lilac Avenue by Kaisercraft and are totally delicious - there are sparkly ones, foiled ones glossed ones and there are even die cut tags and borders included - you can get them HERE .
The optional extra for you this week is to 'Frame it' or create a decorative frame around your image. I now have a bin full of die cuts - nothing worked for me so I resorted to my peg stamps and used the same distress inks as I did to colour the image - Dusty Concorde, Peeled paint and Mustard seed.
I used a Marianne creatable as the base for my sentiment which is from Lili of the Valley and the ribbon is from my stash.

ReplyDeleteThat peg stamp frame is brilliant & I love the Creatable backing for the sentiment - the colours are just up my alley too. I tidied up - on the computer table - fatal, seems I threw away the passwords/login list I had half compiled.......sadly the bin men came this morning....... My lovely husband DIDN''T ask why I never finish a job???

This is so pretty Heather! Such a lovely frame and the image is fab! I laughed so much at your story of your cat pulling down the christmas tree - it sounds very familiar! Sometimes we hear a rustling, then look in the tree and see a pair of eyes peering out at us halfway up the tree! Cheeky monkeys - although we wouldn't be without them!

This card is beautiful. Great colouring of the image and your frame is gorgeous.
