It is the lovely America's turn to host this new challenge at House Mouse & Friends this week and she would love see what you can do with the adorable House Mouse & Friends characters and CHARMING CHRISTMAS TREES!!! Anything goes, as long as you use HM&F characters and follow a Christmas Theme. And as most of you know, SHE LOVE CHARMS!!! Sooo, extra bonus points go to those of you who use CHARMS on your Charming Christmas Tree creations for this challenge!
I've coloured my little mousie threading his jelly beans to decorate his tree with Copics. The papers are MME - don't know which as they are now all loose in a box. The ribbon and tree charm are from my stash, the snowflake cut with the Fleur de lis pendant and Spellbinders Create a Flake 1, the holly leaves cut with a Crealies die and I finished off the snowflake with a ribbon rose.
I did a stupid thing (yet again!!) and covered the needle and thread with Diamond dust as snow, the only way I could think of out of this was the thread a needle and insert it into the image, then the problem was trying to stick the thread to the Diamond dust snow.
A close up of my faux pas - I even managed to get a know in the cotton - grrrrrr........

ReplyDeleteWell - that faux is not - ingenious & of course the little creature would have got a knot in it.....how many times have I done something similar only to find it makes the piece! Besides which that is a nfity piece of needle insertion. Love the colours of the jelly beans with the paper.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm.
