This week at the Simon Says Stamp challenge we want to see your Christmas card without but NO Red or Green is allowed.
I decided to try vintage style as I haven't done many vintage Christmas cards this year. I used the unlikely but beautiful My Sweet Lil image by Sarah Kay and stamped her with Cofffe Archival ink on cream card. She is very lightly coloured using pastel pencils as I wanted to achieve a faded look - I then coated the image with Crackle Accents, waited until it had started crackling then finished it with a heat gun. Once dry I used the Tim Holtz blending tool to work Antique Linen distress inks into the cracks around the outer edge.
The papers are Basic Grey's Cappella and distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing tool.
The lace was in a RAK from my adorable friend America but a substitute would be the gorgeous pack by Hero Arts. The fowers are a mixture from my stash and coloured using Glimmer mist in Creme de Choclat.
The cobwebby stuff has been knocking about in my stash forever, I used a Spellbinders Create a flake for the base of the sentiment.

A close up of the image where you can see the inked crackling around the edge of the image.

Lovely colours & a very interesting technique with the Crackle. Love the way you've used different colours to ink the snowflakes with too & that middles rose with the snowflakes for the base is just brilliant - love it. I've still got a tin of pastel pencils I've not got a clue how to colour with....... in time will get to that.
