As promised, we have a “special” challenge today. We’ve teamed up this week with the amazing Award-Winning Children’s Book Illustrator and Author, Elizabeth O. Dulemba. Elizabeth is a renowned author and illustrator of children's books so, our challenge this week is READING! … which includes bookmarks, book gift card holders, reading charts, etc. Anything you can think of that relates to reading. Elizabeth has many fabulous free images for you to download and colour and you can find them HERE
I chose the Lion and the Mouse, well actually I chose quite a few but ended up doing this one. I've made a card and put a double pocket on the front, one for at bookmark and one for a book token. The papers are Graphic 45, the image is coloured in Copics (yes, naturally as this is Copic Creations der.......!!!) I use an MS round the page punch to create the pocket, laminated the bookmark and finished with a ribbon from my stash.
This is to try and show you the double pocket and the book token. Don't look too closely - I didn't have a book token, so I just stuck any old token in, think this one is for a local clothes shop.
Again stunning card, love the LO and colouring. Great image and colour combo! Hugs, moni
ReplyDeleteIt was just as well you mentioned the Copics colouring - there I was thinking your Distress Inks colouring was amazing - only to find you'd used Copics. Er..... I love your idea & the image is tremendous too. The cream with the red really picks out the colour of the lion's skin.
