Welcome to a new Copic Creations challenge! We thought it would be fun to cover an easier challenge this week, not necessarily a technique, but a particular subject matter ~ Copic coloring of Animals! Any animals – flying, swimming, crawling, walking or talking! AND, we’ve got the PERFECT sponsor to coordinate with this challenge!
Hambo Stamps
has some adorable illustrations (either digi or rubber) AND, they’re ALOT of fun to color with your Copics! If you’re unfamiliar with Hambo Stamps you really NEED to check them out! (They also have some hilarious sentiments to match.) Each of the CCDT members have colored a Hambo digi animal image for this challenge ~ They’ve, of course, done an AMAZING job!
Monica and Tim Hambo will be giving a $25.00 Gift Certificate
good for any Hambo digi images
to one lucky winner of this challenge!
I chose the image Three Fishes - which sadly printed out somewhat pixelated - no-one else had this problem and I've never had it before so due I think to my computer having it's hissy fit about the time I downloaded it.
The bigger I printed them, the worse it got and I discovered they looked better cut out. Right what do you do with three cut out fish - stick them in a tank was my first thought - my second thought was why not - so I did.
I turned the card into an tent card and fastened on to the inside some vellum 'water' paper and added a couple of little die cuts I happened to have knocking about of a fish and a seahorse. The 'seaweed' is cut with a Marianne creatable die and I attached my fish with acetate. The sentiment is computer generated apart from the work splash which I also found with the little die cuts.
Check out the amazing creations of the other DT's and I do hope you can join us in this fun challenge.
