Simons Says - it's Father's Day

Simon Says it's Father's Day on the 20th June - we've already had it here a couple of week's ago - I think it was a Thursday - Ascension Day. I get confused by the holidays here (doesn't take much!!!) they come on any old day, I think we've had them on Saturday, Thursday and Monday in the last few weeks, consequently I never know what day it is.

Anyway - enough of the waffling- I've done a little box, tutorial HERE on the Scorpal site. The papers are Basic Grey's Origins, the little Hanglar boy is coloured in distress inks, cut out and mounted onto an oval cut with Spellbinders nesties, as is the sentiment and the corners with an EK Success punch. I roughly followed a sketch over at Stampartic, the sentiment is LOTV and the ribbon from my stash.

This is the side of the box - don't know why I wrote that - I'm sure you'd worked that one out for yourselves - derrrrrrrrrr!!!

I decorate the back of the box with the same paper, added a couple of flourishes (couldn't resist) and fastened it with  a ribbon and a Tim Holtz hitch fastener.

 Now I'm going to take the first photograph again, it is so blurry - or could it be my eyes? They cut the grass outside this morning so I'm now streaming with red and puffy eyes - but I shall rephotograph it anyway.
