House Mouse -27 Chipboard

The The House Mouse challenge this week is - "All about Chipboard chipboard". You can make anything you like as long as you use some chipboard and a minimum of one HM or friend image.

All I had in chipboard were flowers and some Basic Grey pieces (gorgeous but not suitable). I went to my local shop and all they had were - flowers!! So flowers it had to be. This card has sat on my bookcase all week, and everyone who has seen it has laughed -
so at least it has a comic aspect to it!! I covered the chipboard flowers with Basic Grey Ambrosia papers, sanded and then inked the edges. I cut flowers with the EK Success punches and put the little mousies heads in the middle. I used the Spring Blossoms House Mouse stamp (coloured with watercolours) as they had petals round their faces and cut out Mudpie and Monica as they seemed to be looking at one another. I use Basic Grey Boxer chipboard pieces as the stems and finished it with another flower with an Inkadinkado sentiment middles and two little buttons on the side.

Julie's Blog Candy Card

Julie is offering Blog Candy and the condition for entry is a card with hand-made flowers. As I love making handmade flowers this was 'right up my street'. If you haven't visited Julie's blog, do so, apart from gorgeous hand-made flowers she creates the most amazing cards.

I resorted to Eileen's tutorial at Ikkis Cuttlebug Cupboard again. I just love these flowers and can't stop making them. Sorry - but I know I'll be boring you to tears with them soon - if not already. I used bazzill bc and downloaded papers from Digital Scrapbooking Art.
I cut the flower from KanBan silver embossed cardstock I found in my bit box, and added silver spacers and Papermania pearl brads. I used the Leone Em ash branch punch for the leaves and an Inkadinkado sentiment which I inserted into a SU 'thingy' - can't think of the name of them.

Colour Create #4 - blue & brown, lace & pearls

The colours we have for you this week at Colour Create are Blue and Brown. For this week's extra option we would like you to use lace and pearls, but please remember that this is not compulsory.

We would like to welcome Kim onto the Design Team as a permanent member and look forward to seeing many more of her wonderful creations. She was asked to join us from the very start, but had to delay this for a few weeks due to other commitments.

It also gives us great pleasure to introduce this week's guest designer Lynsey, it is a real honour to have her joining us for this week's challenge.

Oooooh! some of my favourites meant I really enjoyed this weeks challenge. I used Basic Grey Granola papers and brown bazzill bc. I made the flowers from the tutorial at Ikki's Cuttlebug Cupboard. Rather than have an image I decided to use a sentiment as the focal point of the card. I bought the gorgeous lace in Manchester last weekend and love it that much I now have about 3" left - why didn't I buy more - grrrrrrrrr.........

Tag You're It - 47 - Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend

Ooops - just noticed I put an extra A in Diamonds - back to the drawing board.

Not my usual style at all - so a real challenge for me, but nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable. The most difficult part was photographing it (bling does not photgraph well!!)
Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend is the theme for Tag You're It this week. The image is one that Tara sent me (I think - if not ooops sorry!!) I coloured her with watercolours, replaced the gift parcel she was sitting on with a champagne glass (Magnolia). I had some 'blingy fabric which I cut and fastened to her dress. I gave her a diamond necklace, bracelet and a string of diamonds to hold. I finished the edges with some white & silver edging strip (ancient), diamontes and a silver flower and bow at the top. I computer generated the sentiment onto printable acetate and anchored it under the edging.

Basic Grey - Challenge 24 - Pockets

The challenge at Basic Grey is 'pockets'.
For this weeks challenge we would like to see you use pockets in your creation, interpret this how you would like, but of course not to forget to use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creation :)

I made a simple fold over round edged flap and put my pocket on the inside of the card. I used Bazzill basic cardstock and Basic Grey offbeat papers. The image is one of my new Gorjuss Girls, coloured with pastels, I placed her on a tag cut with nesties to slide into the pocket. The reverse is left to write a message on.
