Wayhay - I Done it - at last

I just love white space on cards but never seem to be able to manage it.
It looks bare - so I add more, and more until I finally reach the overdone cluttered look.
Thanks to the fabulous sketch at Friday Sketchers this week I've done it!! I couldn't resist putting a flourish border around the papers and image but LOOK - not one flower, not one ribbon, no charms. But did sneak a few pearls and some leaves in. My challenge to myself finally accomplished. The image is one sent to me by my matey Tara (thanks honey) so gorgeous to colour that I actually managed to use my copics - another first - most end up in the bin - images that is not Copics. This is not brilliant but you know what they say
'Practice makes Perfect' I just have to remember to switch mind set and not use them as I use pastels or watercolours.
Not the best card I've ever done but all in all - I like it and I'm chuffed to bits - bad day

Double Dutch Challenge - 14 - Sketch it

Double Dutch challnge have a fabulous sketch for us to follow this week. I don't know what the paper is or who it's by - I stupidly cut this off, nor do I know what the image is called as it was sent to me by a forum friend - but I coloured her with pastels. The corner stamp is from Xela crafts and the flourish across the middle Magnolia. The flowers are Prima and I stamped the middle with a small Inkadinkado flower to represent stamens. The leaves are cut with the Leone Em ash branch punch. The sentiment- Follow your Dreams (Inkadinkado) I thought suited the image as she looks wistful and dreamy.
I have decorated the inside of this card but after several attempts at photgraphing it I gave up - constanly blurry. Not a brilliant day so far so I'm off to make myself a second breakfast (bacon and tomato on toast) - perhaps that will help.

I chose to use Lilykate papers this week as they always make me think of spring with the gorgeous pale blues, greens and lemons.
The image is one of my lovely team Chris's digi images (she has just brought out some gorgeous new ones - pop over and have a look) which I coloured with watercolours and paper pieced the top and bottom halves.
I am not happy with the sentiment (a peel off coloured with markers) but could not find my stamp - it (any many other things) were packed away whilst decorating took place and I'm tearing out my hair trying to find things now ....grrrrrr.......

WOJ Challenge - "Let's get Dirty"

The Whiff of Joy Challenge this week is 'Let's Get Dirty' - distressing. Fabulous I just love distressing. I coloured this image for last week's challenge but with the chaos of decorating I didn't manage to finish the card in time. This fabulous little lady is an absolute delight to colour - which I did with my ever favourite pastels. I hung the sentiment from some beads attached to the ribbon which wouldn't hang straight whilst I photographed it - in hindsight I should have blue tacked it down. I ever so good at hindsight ........giggle........

Truly Scrumptious Challenge 4

I chose K&Co Sparkly Sweet papers and an image kindly sent to me by the lovely Tab which I coloured with pastels. The flowers are cut with the EK Success retro flower punch and the leaves with the Leone Em branch punch. The sentiment is so old I've forgotten who it's by. I like the overall feel of this card - but somehow it looks a little cluttered. Suggestions please!!
