House Mouse's - are all blinged up!!

It's time for another challenge at House Mouse & Friends and this week we say goodbye to both Esme and Nancy - thank you both - it was great having you on board - and we welcome two new guest designers for June and they are BrendaKendra, please make them welcome and I hope you both enjoy your spot as GDT's

The challenge this time is  being hosted by the wonderful America and she'd LOVE to see you adorning your cards with jewels/jewelery trinkets, charms, beads, and, or any BLING that will make your projects Glamorous!!

We are sponsored by the lovely Heidi at Simon Says Stamp with a fabulous $15 spending spree AND a surprise package from our lovely teamie America too !!

Never one for half measures I went a little berserk on this challenge (nothing new - I know!!) It was my intention to make some jewelry to attach to my mice - but off I went into my own little world and just made jewelry - let's face it they would have to be giant mice for my endeavours!! At the end of a week playing I then realized I hadn't even made a card!!! I used this little chap as he was pretty quick to colour. He is part of one of the Joanna Sheen sets, Poppy I think it's called and he is coloured in Copics and the border cut with a MS round the page punch. I attached a seam binding bow, a pearl spacer, a finding and a little mousie charm.

These are results of my  jewelry making endeavors - one bag charm, one phone charm and a pair of earrings - as you see - giant mousies needed for these!!! The silver findings and charms etc were all sent to me by the adorable AMERICA and the beads are some I picked up in Israel when my daughter and I were 'into' making jewelry. The flowers were made with a Tim Holtz alterations flower die, inked with Tumbled glass distress ink and edged with a silver marker - I just wish they looked the right colour!!  This set will probably end up as part of my daughter's holiday jewelry.

Well I enjoyed my trip to the 'Schwimmbad' yesterday, not much swimming - the water was too cold (for me anyway) but spent a fair bit of time in both the whirlpool and jacuzzi in between sunbathing and  I hope you all had a good weekend.

  6. I do like that jewellery, don't think I'd know where to start in that category. The card is brilliant with the blues for the poppy - love the texture of the shading on that flower & your seam binding with the flower & charm too - just great fun.
