Simon Says...........a card for a Child

Good Morning all !! We hope you are all fit and well and looking forward to the Easter Break :-)

Thanks for all your fabulous entries to our Easter/Spring Colours Challenge and thanks for all your lovely comments too :-) We appreciate you taking the time to leave them xx

This week the theme at the Simon Says Stamp challenge is

FOR A CHILD

So any card or creation to be given to a child. We would also like to encourage you to think about poorly children and send a card to a child registered with Post Pals or Make a Child Smile. Please click on the links to read more about these charitable organisations. I know that the cards they receive are very welcome. Please think about them, not just today but throughout the year. Thank You xx

This week we are joined by the lovely Vicky (aka Angeldrummer) who has agreed to be in the Designer Spotlight, Dawny, Jo, Lols and Myself got to meet Vicky at the NEC a few weeks ago, it so great to meet people you know fairly well but have never met IRL.

As this card is for a child I decided to make a pop-up card, remembering how my children when they were young loved pop-up books and cards etc. The instructions for this can be found at Splitcoast Stampers and is by the fabulous Beate Johns.
This cute little Monkey has been masked onto the Hanging Leaves, coloured in Copics as has the little Small Colibri which has been cut out and attached with foam padsAll of these images are by Magnolia from the Animal collection
The papers are from the fabulous Graphic 45 Le Cirque pad.
The stars are cut with My Favourite Things, Stacking Stars Die-Namics. The sentiment is an old one of unknown origin.
Below is a photograph taken with the card closed

I also decided to do another pop-up card using the same instructions.

These papers are the gorgeous Prima Botanical and the image is Belles & Whistles and called I Clowning Around. The image is again coloured with Copics and her outfit coated with Stardust stickles. The corners are cut with an EK Success punch, the flower a Magnolia Cherry Blossom, the leaves cut with a  Rose leaf punch and the sentiment LOTV.

As usual Heidi will be giving one lucky entrant a $50 voucher to her FANTASTIC Simon Says Stamp Superstore !! See the NEWEST stuff on the All New Just In Page For fabulous tutorials, inspiration and candy you should keep an eye on the Simon Says Stamp Blog too !!! :-)

  13. I love the way you've really thought about these & given such attention to what might give a child pleasure. The monkey is such a fun one for a little boy & the clown so unusual for a girl but being a girl clown absolutely right for a little girl.
