Basic Grey need a Heart!!

Well, its time for another challenge at BasicGrey Challenges !

Thank you so much for all the fabulous entries we had to our Flower Power Challenge and the staggering number of entries we have received for our Design Team Call!! The Design Team Call is now closed and we are working our way through all the entries we have received and we will be notifying the lucky ones by email as soon as we can.

Due to the high number of entries and the depleted number of Design Team members we would like to apologise if anyone didn't receive a comment this challenge as we have been struggling to keep up !!

This challenge HEARTS - we would like to see at least one heart on your creation - not too difficult eh!! BUT as always, please remember that you have to use at least one BasicGrey product on your project to qualify for the prize. Please also mention the BasicGrey product you used in your blog post or email entry so that we can easily identify it !

Basic Grey products used - Porcelain papers

I've seen these 'shadow box' cards knocking about in blogland and decided I wanted to make one. I Googled, I searched YouTube - could I find one - NO!!
There are some of the ones that have the bits on either side  but not the type I wanted so I worked out how to do what I wanted along with the measurements. I'm going to do a tutorial for this if anyone is interested. At least if I do a tutorial I will know where to find the measurements next time I want to make one and there are a couple of small adjustments I would like to make. Size of card is 51/4 x 51/4 inches.

Tilda with hanging Heart is coloured in Copics, wings coated with the obligatory Stardust Stickles, cut with round nesties then mounted on a matt cut with a Marianne creatable. The paper is from the Basic Grey Porcelain collection, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the flourishes cut with another of the Marianne creatables. I cut a small heart with spellbinders nestabilites for the centre of the bow from with I hung a small heart charm.

Ooops - forgot to list the challenges this card fits - now I just have to remember to enter it into them - I have a habit of forgetting!!

I haven't managed to take part in the BG challenges for so long now, as I had to pack up my craftroom some months back to make room for my son to move back home. I can't wait to start taking part again, IF I managed to find my BG papers I might give the 'Hearts' challenge a go today

  25. Take care with all the work involved with the DT submissions - not an easy job at all. Loe what you've done with this - the sides are amazing & I've not seen this type of Shadow Box card before - it's brilliant & I much prefer it to the ones with the sticking out bits. Hope you caught up with sleep.
