Happy New Year and welcome back ! We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year with your family and friends.
The start of a new year always brings new beginnings and its with sadness that we have to say goodbye to some of our Basic Grey Design Team members. We are so sorry to say that we are losing Chris Dark, Christine, Kim and Martine.
Martine was the founder of BasicGrey Challenges and gave a few of the first DT members their first break in the World of blogging and Design Teams. She has worked tirelessly for 2 years running the blog and posting all the challenges etc. and we would like to thank you Martine from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done not only for BasicGrey Challenges but for us personally and we all love you.
Chris, Christine and Kim have been such fabulous teamies to work with, so inspiring and talented and we shall be sad to lose you. You are all such fabulous friends and so its not goodbye completely !
You will be pleased to know that BasicGrey Challenges lives on and so we have a new challenge for you !
The challenge for you this fortnight is DOTS or SPOTS !!
We would like to see dots or spots somewhere on your project.
You are able to use any brand of papers for this project if you find dots or spots hard to come by in your Basic Grey stash and they can be on the flowers you use, the ribbon, punched holes, buttons BUT please remember that you must to use at least one Basic Grey product on your creation.
Our first Guest Designer is the super talented and lovely SANDIE (sandieshores) of The Crafty Side of Me. Visiting Sandie's blog it is an absolutely must as you will be blown away with her gorgeous projects.
I found this June bug spotty paper in my stash and couldn't wait to ink up this Tilda, bought at the NEC last November and as yet untouched - I love the flounces on her skirt (I think this is why I also like Tilda in tulle skirt so much - the flounces on her skirt!!). The image is coloured with Copics and the card is cut with Spellbinders curved rectangles. The ribbon is some my lovely friend America sent me and the flowers are Wild Orchid crafts.
The prize this challenge
As always, our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore , ooo just think of the goodies you could get with that you lucky ducks :)
(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)
Sorry for the rather long post but I've saved the best till last -
We have decided to run a Design Team Call and we are looking for new members to add to our little Family and the details are all on the challenge blog, so why don't you take a look and seriously consider joining us.

That shading of the dress is so tactile & I can't get over the difference in texture you created in that & the umbrella. The colours are just stunning - so classy & Tilda really does look blown away. Love the character you've put into her.
