Time for another challenge at Copic Creations and this time we are focusing on
Light Source ~ where light hits and creates shadows.
We have a SUPER fantastic sponsor this week! We’re thrilled to announce that Whimsy Stamps will be sponoring our 40th challenge!! The wonderful and so very nice, Denise of Whimsy Stamps has graciously supplied the DT with images for today’s challenge ~ I know you’ll be in awe of the cards from these amazingly talented ladies!
I chose this beautiful image by Crissy Armstrong called 'Little Christmas Angel'.
I firstly imagined the light to becoming from the left, but slowly as I worked it moved round to the right, just off center and slightly above. I find some images actually tell me what they want as I work with them so I just go with the flow. I thought the little bird looked like a red cardinal so I coloured it accordingly. Her wings are stickled with a mixture of gold and Stardust stickles.
The papers are an old download, the red contained gold which didn't show on the photograph so I later added some stickles to the edges. The white border and the leaves are Crealies dies, the flowers Prima - Athena Flowers Powder Puff (try saying that quickly when you've had a few!! - I can't say when I'm sober lol)
The sentiment is an old one I was sent when asked to do a magazine article - origin unknown and the lace is from my stash.
I followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers and as I was using one of Crissy's adorable images I thought it appropriate to enter it into her challenge -
Sundays with Crissy which is red green and gold this time.
EDITED
I am so thick!!! I know Crissy's challenge is the 1st of each month - Copic Creations 1st (and 15th) both the same - so why didn't I realize the closing date was yesterday - my brain has frozen due to the cold weather - that's my excuse!!!
EDITED (yet again!!)
When I checked the current challenge at Crissy's is it
so hopefully it will fit this one - if not just delete me
Today, December 1st Whimsy’s artists will be releasing many new digital designs including a collection of precolored images, perfect for getting all those holiday cards done up in a flash! And then on December 8th they will have a Winter Collection rubber stamp release! Lots happening over at Whimsy Stamps in December, we hope you will stop on by!
This week’s prize from Whimsy Stamps will be . . . not one,
but TWO PRIZES for TWO lucky winners!!! Woo hoo!
A couple week's ago I did a card for a certain challenge then completely lost it, turned the place upside down - couldn't find it anywhere!!! Just found it this morning - in my underwear drawer - at the bottom???????
Obviously didn't have my multi-tasking head on that day!! Now I'm off to see if I can find a couple of challenges that it will fit into.
