I did two for Copic Creations this time but am not entirely happy with either of them. The challenge is reflections, and the problem was finding an image. I really did make a mountain out of a molehill here. Any image would have done, stood in a puddle, by a river and last night I wished I'd done Tilda and Edwin skating on ice that would have been great to use reflections on - too late was the cry - again!!
This first one was a digi image I eventually found at HERE at Just Inked Digital stamps. I didn't turn it into a card I think it might become a small calender. As the water was 'flowing' I made the reflections soft and imprecise.
The Copics use (too many to mention) but basically the greens are the G20's and the brown the E 30's.
This one - well for some reason I had the vision of a child playing in the sea, I searched everywhere for an image to no avail, so I thought I'll draw one. This I don't find difficult, but turning it into a line drawing suitable to colour - I'm useless at - her hair wouldn't go the way I wanted (curling softly over her face) so I ended up piling it on top of her head - not really a suitable style for a child but I ended up losing patience with it. This is where cunning took over - I scanned the image into my computer, copy and pasted, faded the copy to almost invisible flipped it upside down and placed it at the bottom of the original and then printed it out. This left me with a faint outline as a guide for the reflection then it was just a case of building a little colour into it and giving it the slightly blurred edge that reflections often have.
