This at Basic Grey week we would love to see some Fabric used on your creations, this can be anything from Fabric brads, to some wonderful Fabric flowers like some of our fab DT have used, the possibilities are endless and the choice is completely up to you, we so cant wait to see what you can come up with.
I used Basic Grey papers from the Sugared (patterned) and Indian Summer (plain). The image is Belles and Whistles 'Clowning Around' I paper pieced her outfit and coloured the rest with distress inks. I cut her out and mounted with foam on a mat cut with an MS round the page punch. I used fabric for my flowers, the rest of the DT's didn't believe me when I said I used my curtains as fabric - TRUE!! No, I haven't got holes in my curtains this is what is left from turning them up and hemming them. I had a basketful of fabulous pieces of fabric in the UK - silks, suede effects muslins etc. but left it behind and I haven't found a shop here that sells fabrics - YET!! I cut a strip gathered it, used a ready made flower as the center and them frayed the edges. The leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment a Tim Holtz adage ticket.
Now I have to clean out my kitchen - I have someone coming to fit my kitchen work surfaces. They are all sat there in place but couldn't be finally fitted until the tiling was done. Oh what fun - I expect most of it will have to put into my craftroom so that will put a stop to crafting today.
