Simon Says, Whiff of Joy and that damned cat

I've doubled Simon Says 'Shabby Chic' with the sketch over at Whiff of Joy.
The sketch actually had something added whereas I've taken it away, I do hope that's OK.
I've used Willow with Christmas Candle and coloured her with distress inks, inked the edge of the circle and stamped it with a Basic Grey flourish stamp. I love this image and have tried to use her for something other than Christmas by adding flowers to her hair and the bells at the bottom of her 'belt'. The papers are from Costco (had them for ages) and distressed using Basic Grey's distressing kit. I've added lace underneath the torn strips, a sentiment by Lily of the Valley, a pearl swirl from Prima marketing, crumpled up leaves cut with a Woodware punch and a flower from Papirloftet. This is my interpretation of Shabby Chic - just hope it's correct, although I thoroughly enjoyed making it.

My cat is driving me to distraction at the moment - when I watch TV, which isn't very often he sits in front of the screen.  Here I decided to watch the Incredible Journey - in German.  Being a children's film  I thought it would be good to watch to improve my German - Yes, well, let's say no more about that. Everytime I talk to someone in German - they reply in English - that speaks volumes doesn't it? but at least they understand what I'm saying.

And here is his next trick - that's right when I spend time trying to do some commenting - he sits in front of the screen on my keyboard. So any lack of commenting - blame the cat.566666666666666666666666666666666666666tAA\Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa98i8888888888888888887
I've left the last gobbledook in so you can see what happens - he's just done it again, then he sits there looking at me as thought to say what you shouting at me for!!!

I post this now before he manages to delete it Lol.

  3. Heather he is just adorable!!! Lovely card as every but your cat wins my attention. Hubby had the same problem when we lived in Holland trying to speak Dutch and they all replied in English. I am not good at languages so did not attempt it. ;-) Good on you for at least trying.
    What's your cat's name?
Have a good evening. Anesha :-)

  9. That damn cat is pretty stinkin' cute!! Look at those eyes, "Who me? How could you be mad at me???" You could try to turn him into a lap cat, at least that way, he wouldn't be STANDING in the way, just sitting, lol. Gorgeous card, I love what you have done with your papers, that lace peaking out from behind is incredible and so is that rework you've done with Willow!! Totally gorgeous!!
    Guten Nacht, lol,

  10. Heather, your card is stunning! I love the vintage look. And I love your cat! He reminds me of my "grand-cat" who I had for two years while my son was on overseas deployments. He is settled in country now so I took Smokey to him. I miss her a lot but get to see her often. There is just something really mischievous about those beautiful black cats.

    Hugs,
    Barb

  17. Oh, but what a purrfectly lovely cat -- how can you not absolutely adore him? Great pictures -- too funny in front of the TV. "My" cat lives outside -- well, he's really not my cat -- he adopted our house and when I am out on the patio, he sits in my lap and gives me insight on how to beat my dh at Gin Rummy. Thanks for your lovely BD greeting. I love your card too -- and, of course, I love all of your cards.

  25. Rica, I have the same problem with my Allie Girl. She kind of resembles your cat. She loves to sit in front of me as I surf the web or post my creations to my blogspot. I have a picture of Allie watching a tutorial and it is so cute. Check out my blogspot to see it.
