designed by our very talented DT member Michele. And the theme for this challenge is 'Indian Summer'. It's not been a great summer in the UK so we are hoping for just a few more warm days before we turn on the central heating and dust off our winter coats!!
Plus, we are looking for a Guest Designer to join the team for the months of October & November. If you would like to be considered then please add the letters 'GD' after your name on the Mister Linky link.
This week we are delighted to welcome Home Impressions as our sponsor. As well as stocking a fantastic range of well known stamps they also have their own range so pop over to their website to take a look. They are offering the winner of this challenge this fabulous set of 'Jack & Jill' stamps:
Eeek I thought when I saw this challenge - but the fabulous, lovely Tara sent me some of the Summer Collection Magnolias (NO - still haven't got mine!!!) had to use them and I found these gorgesous papers I've had for ever and the whole thing came together a dream. Obviously I couldn't mask so I had to cut Tilda out and sit her on the ring/lifebouy - whatever it is.
I coloured the images with Copic markers and thought Tilda should be nicely tanned - oops - think I overdid it, although whe doesn't look too bad in this photograph . The little seahorses I bought at the local supermarked here and filed them down a they were a little too blue then coloured them with Copics to give them more of a green/blue hue.
Image - Magnolias from the Summer Collection - curtesty of the fab Tara : Sentiment Inkadinkdo
Medium - Copic Markers
Papers - Paper Adventure's Tropical Breeze collection
Tools - Avec corner die : Spellbinders round nesties : EK Success border punch
Embellishments - Raffia ribbon - Hobbycraft, Seahorses - Edeka supermarket : Rest from stash

Heather, what a lovely card. It really evokes the warmth of a late summer's day. Love the colouring on tilda.
ReplyDeleteI remember when we were kids my Dad worked on a farm and he bought home this HUGE tractor tyre inner tube which we took down to Cornwall on holiday. We had great fun with it and could fit two of us on it.
I was mucking around leaping through it like a mermaid through a hoop, when I got my desert wellies (beach sandals) caught on the valve of the tube. At this point I was upside down in the water and didn't matter how I wriggled I couldn't get free. All of a sudden I was hauled out by my ankle spluttering and coughing, and my Dad was really mad at me for being so stupid. I think really he was mad at himself for letting me!
