This week Mina from our Design Team is hosting the Truly Scrumptious challenge. She has created a fabulous sketch and this weeks theme is 'flower power' - go crazy with those flower embellishments!!
We are delighted that Whiff of Joy are sponsoring our challenge this week. Whiff of Joy have a range of adorable stamps and the lucky winner of this challenge will receive not one but TWO gorgeous stamps as their prize. To qualify for the prize you must follow the sketch AND the theme.Melinda with Muffin Basket
I chose K&Co Sparkly Sweet papers and an image kindly sent to me by the lovely Tab which I coloured with pastels. The flowers are cut with the EK Success retro flower punch and the leaves with the Leone Em branch punch. The sentiment is so old I've forgotten who it's by. I like the overall feel of this card - but somehow it looks a little cluttered. Suggestions please!!
Fab card and the skech is great! Love the colours you used and these sweet flowers! Hugs, Moni

I love the flowers around Tilda so pretty hugs pascale :)
ReplyDeleteOoh Heather, I think I remember this happening before, you asking for advice n me giving it !! But you should know me by now, I am a yorkshire girl born and bred and when asked for a honest opinion I will give it, love me or hate me !!! ha ha, Keep in mind that you are a far better artist than me !!!!
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I would remove the leaves from the outer circles and save them for another card, then move the flowers out to where the leaves were, leave the central bit with just the beautiful image :-)
Well ya did ask !! ha ha
It is a fabby card tho xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
