Magnolia vs Stampavie have a fabulous sketch by Michelle for us this week. I used K&Co McKenna papers and the Sarah Kay image Spring Blossoms which I coloured with distress inks. I cut the swirl/flourish with the sizzix die and add punches leaves and flowers with small rose centers which I thought look rather like the flowers my little lady had been picking. The ribbon threaded through eyelet holes at the bottom looks a totally different colour of green - as this happens frequently with ribbon I can only suppose it's the shiny texture that picks up the light and photographs differently.

Hey you!
ReplyDeleteThe only reason the stitching is neat on my CC card is because I used a stamp set, it wasn't my steady hand, lol! When you're thinking about your CC theme could you just put the colours into Google images and see what it throws up - that's what I do!
A divine card Heather with a fab choice of papers! I love the little roses too! xx

ReplyDeleteI really appreciate that you take time to leave comments. I am sure you are very busy! I am glad you admire Amy Sheffer too. I met Amy when I asked her to do a Stampin' Up! party for me a few years ago. We became friends instantly. I started blogging in June '07 and convinced Amy to start her own blog too. Now she is uber famous (I knew she would be!)
