Sketch Saturday #37 Jeanettes Sketch

I made this card yesterday and forgot to post it. I do wish I could get rid of this bout of 'wishy-washyness'. I don't seem to be able to settle to anything or do anything right today. - still tomorrows another day!
A fabulous sketch by Jeanette at Sketch Saturday this week. I decided to do a 'boy' card for this one and used Edwin from the Magnolias Christmas stamps. The papers are from HOTP Earth's Pallette Creative pack - good boyish papers. Edwin is coloured with pastels and the sentiment 'ribbon' is also from the pack. Trouble with 'boy' cards is I always feel a card is unfinished as it has not ribbons, flowers or pretty bits on it.

Materials
HOTP Earth's Pallette papers : Magnolia's Edwin : Derwent pastels : Cuttlebug & round Nesties :
Buttons and thread from stash

  11. This is a very handsome "boy card"! It is hard to stop short of putting ribbon and lace on a card, but you made a wonderful card for a little boy.

  13. Great colours - very suitable for your man card - and you don't need a ribbon to finish it off - and his buttons look great (much better than a ribbon or a zip). ikki x
