I managed to 'kill three birds with one stone' with this card. The Cute Card Thursday this week was 'Pink' and the SBS21 challenge was to work with a colour that you don't find easy. This just happens to be pink with me. I'm not a pink girl, it's not that I don't like it, but I don't find it easy to work with for some reason. The third 'bird' is a card for a baby girl's Christening I am to attend tomorrow.
The image is Pink Petticoats 'Little Creatures' coloured with watercolours
The flowers are from Crafts U Love and the sentiment is a peel off.
Diamonte brad is from Papermania and the ribbon from stash.
Heather, you made difficult look easy! Beautiful card!! I need to go work on mine... I think my mojo is out enjoying this beautiful weather we're having post Hanna.
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet card, love the teddy image and gorgeous paper, thanks for joining in the CCT challenge, have a great weekend

A lovely pretty card. You did quie well with pink :o)
ReplyDeleteSooo Cute! Love the colors and the metalic textures!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have to say you spoke to my soul when I logged into your site and you had Lisa Stansfield playing!!!!! :) I LOVE that song she does. I have the entire album and I listen to it all the time! I actually like a lot of the jazz you have on your site. Most of the time when I visit sites with music have to silence the music because it's too wild for me. LOL Am I getting old???? LOL
Thirdly, Stazon will work on the acrylic albums BUT stamping with Stazon is slippery and difficult to stamp with. Rub ons are easier to use but not as forgiving because if you don't place it just right you are toast. An acrylic album is something you do when you have lots and lots and lots of time and patience, I think.
Someday........I may just surprise you with my version but for now besides working from 8 to past 7 everyday and then 5 or more hours on the weekend, I'm not ready to tackle it just yet.
Beautiful card, the image is so sweet. Thanks for joining in the CCT challenge
ReplyDeleteHi Heather - Just a quick note about the tassels on my card. They came from Joanna Sheen's website - I was so lucky as they came in the 'ingredients' kit for the challenge so I didn't pay for them! I think tassels can be quite expensive - I bought some suitable thread (to make my own) at a craft show but like many things it is on the pending list.
ReplyDeleteI would have thought the ones at Cuddly Buddly would be suitable too - you could always ask.
Have a lovely Sunday. I know I have already commented on this card but I do love pink and green together - it is lovely.
