Simon Says........Lemon & Lavender

This week at the Simon Says Stamp challenge we would you to use the colour combination Lavender and Lilac, this really suited me as I love this fabulous combination.
The design team are featuring Penny Black so I used this sweet image called Flowers for Mimi

Mimi is coloured with Copics and cut out using Spellbinders Label 1. I cut the label twice and set them at angles. The papers I used are Kaiser-Craft and are wonderfully sparkly but which does make the lavender look a little darker than it is irl. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers are Prima Athena. I think my brads are Basic Grey, but as I dropped my container on the floor and the compartments all opened and brads flew everwhere I wouldn't swear to it LOL.

As always, you can win this INCREDIBLE prize and a huge thank you to Heidi and the team at Simon Says Stamp for providing an amazing prize week after week!

It's Teddy Bo Tuesday and a new Challenge!!!

It's time for a new challenge at Teddy Bo and this week's theme is
Anything but a Card

I always print out a few images at a time and have them all over the place so I decided to make a home for them by creating a small file folder to house them in. There are three compartments, one fir Teddy Bo, one for Teddy Bea and one for when they are together.
I wish you could see this IRL - it is so much nicer and the colours so different - I stupidly used a foiled paper, which, as I'm sure you all know will not be photographed.

This is photographed from the front and below from above - I've already got a few images in there, some coloured, some not. I used the tabs and coloured them with Copics and the leaves and flowers are cut with dies from Crealies.

Here you can see all the adorable new releases.  Check out the  Teddy Bo & Co Shop where you will find all the new designs.

Teddy Bo Sneak Peek

Teddies Bo and Bea set off on their motorcycle on Saturday and today they've reached their destination - a summer paradise.

Both Bo and Bea are coloured with Copics and the papers I've used are from Kaiser craft. The perspex additions on Teddy Bo's card are some that are practically antique - it was good to use them although they didn't photograph well. The border is cut with a Martha Steward deep edge punch.
I used peg stamps around the border of Teddy Bea's card, the swirls are cut with a  Marianne createable  die, the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and all else is from my stash.

I'm still struggling commenting -  I'm getting to you all but so very slowly, please be patient, at least blogger is letting me upload cards today although he has pinched all my followers again, for about the fourth time!!

Biker Bo visits Basic Grey

This week at Basic Grey we would like to see some stitching on your cards - real or faux it doesn't matter .

Teddy Bo is off on his holidays and taking Bea with him. He's leaving Bo Towers and travelling south from Scotland, he's in his black leather biker gear and on his green Yamaha.

I can't tell you how much fun this card was to create!!! I've used Basic Grey Lili Kate papers as my dp  and rather than create a hand drawn background I decided to use a map and a photograph to give it more perspective. The map is scanned and the photograph downloaded.
The image is coloured in Copics  and I've added a couple of Lili of the Valley tags, stamped with Personal Impressions stamps and attached a Tim Holtz Ideology tag to a chain.

I used glossy accents on Bo's visor which you can just about pick up on this enlarged photograph and all my edges are machine stitched.

As always, the wonderful Heidi at  Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore, just think of the goodies you could treat yourself to with that !!

An anniversary for Bea and Bo

Are many of you having blogger problems or is it just me again......I'm also getting about approximately 6/8 spam each day which I've never had before - the odd one but never so many. I'm asking myself should I move from blogger!! I'm really struggling commenting also - but I've been told the reception around here is bad, especially in the evening when more people log on, Yeah - I think I realize that but find commenting earlier in the day difficult.

I needed an anniversary card so I thought of this image of Bo and Bea, so sweet cuddled up together!!

It's coloured with Copics on Cryogen paper - I love this stuff - it colours a dream and has a very slightly sparkly surface. I did a step card - don't know why - so difficult to photograph!!
The image frame is a cuttlebug foliage frame, the border In spades and the tag is one of from their fancy tag set. The swirls are from a Marianne creatable and the flowers all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I'm off now to do some commenting - that's if blogger will let me!!!

Simon Says.............a Sketch

It's Wednesday yet again - don't they just fly around ?? Hope you all enjoyed playing Bingo last week and it's now time for our new challenge at  Simon Says Stamp and this week we have a fabulous sketch by our lovely teamie Jane

I had a bit of a Magnolia week this week, I coloured  Tilda holding Heart with my usual Copics, I cut her out using round Nestabilities and stamped the edges with Magnolia's New Year leaf swirl (my most used ever Magnolia product) and then gently inked the stamping with distress inks. My Papers are also by Magnolia, as is the  Leaf die and the sentiment label.
You know by now the grouse I have about white flowers not being white/white but somewhat creamy so I decided to make my own.  Sometimes I use a punch but this time I used scalloped round nestabities. I cut them out of tissue paper (I've run out of mulberry paper) and this fabulous Tulle/Crinoline that I got from Simons Says Stamp store, what a bargain this is. I used alternate layers of tissue and cinoline, fastened them together with a brad, sprayed them with Glimmer mist, scrunched them up and 'fluffed' them out when dry - they are so pretty and fluffy (and WHITE!!) but difficult to photograph.

Here is Jane's fabulous sketch

It's Teddy Bo Tuesday!!!

Well today is Teddy Bo Tuesday so there are lot's of new images for you to play with.
I decided to make a start on Christmas cards and coloured this adorable Bea  as a
Snow-woman, isn't she just so cute!!!

A really quick and easy card (well it was after I'd finished trashing the place searching out my Christmas stock lol) I think there might be a few of these turning up around Christmas.
Bea is coloured in Copics and the paper is some of last years from Echo Park.
Two little red bows and a few snowflake flowers and there we have it - card done!!
I have to say I don't like the snowflake flower and leaf - those will be coming off and something else added when I decide what.

Here are some of the new images for you released today - have a look at the blog and get some inspiration from the old and new design teams.

Lili of the Valley - quick card!!

Here's a quick card using one of the new Lili of the Valley girls, this one is Maisie with Two Balloons .

I've decided she's off to a birthday party and given her sparkly balloons and a sparkly dress, I stamped, coloured and cut out her dress twice sticking one on top of the other to give a little dimension. The corners are cut with a Nellie Snellon die and I've created the sentiment with one of the new Mixed Circular Sentiments. It really didn't suit flowers so I cut an extra couple of balloons and added a flower charm.

Copics used
Dress, bow and 2 balloons B0000, B00, B
The other two balloons G00, G20, G21
Hair  E31, E70, 71, 72

Thanks for calling

It's Mousie Monday again.............and here comes Summer !!!

Here comes Summer is this week's theme at House Mouse & Friends - yeah, right!!!
This is the choice of the lovely Christine and I'm holding her totally responsible for putting a jinx on the weather -  it's bloomin' freezing here today!!

I love this image, it reminds me so much of being taken to the seaside with my parents when I was a child, going in the sea to paddle or swim and coming out dripping wet, teeth chattering and freezing with cold just like the Gruffie on the right !!!
My mother always insisted we put suncream on also - WHY - hardly saw the sun on a typical English summer day.
My Gruffies are coloured with the usual Copics and I've stamped a frame around them with the edge of a Stampelglede grunge stamp. My paper is some vellum I've had for donkey's years (used to go on those at the seaside too - donkeys that is), the sentiment is computer generated and the postcard stamp is  Lili of the Valley from the clear additions range.

Check out the fabulous fun creations our Guest designers Kendra and Brenda have created along with the rest of my teamies !!

I shall be back later with some Lili of the Valley  cards - I've been colouring images and think it's time I turned them into cards.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you all have a great week

I'm celebrating with Teddy Bo!!

Just a quick celebratory post and card.
I'm so excited - Teddy Bo has adopted me as one of his design team - how cool is that??
I've loved Teddy Bo and Teddy Bea since I first met them back in February (I think it was) and I've been entering his challenges ever since although I have to admit to missing one or two.

Bea is coloured in Copics and I've stamped the edges with a Stempelglede grunge stamp and heat embossed using clear powder, I then  inked the edges with Victorian velvet distress ink. The papers are Tim Holtz vintage shabby, I've cut a border and the leaves using Crealies dies and a dragonfly using a Magnolia one. The flowers are from Wild Orchid, the ribbon from my stash and I've added a charm, pearls and a flower to the bow.

Another cause to celebrate is finding out why I've been having so many computer and blogging problems. Thank you all so much for the advice and suggestions you've been leaving me, I've tried them all and more!!! Sadly it doesn't help me stop the problems as apparently it is a local problem, I'm not sure now it works but apparently  reception is poor and when everyone stars using the internet in the evenings the system can't cope.
I usually do my DT commenting in the mornings but I think I'm going to have to re-arrange my day and change my routine so I hope you'll bear with me in the meantime!!

Come and Doodle at Copic Creations

This week at Copic Creations we would like you to do some doodling!! You can use your Copic multi-liners, spica glitter pens, pencils or even your Copic markers!    We’ve rounded up  several links to Marianne Walker’s blog showcasing lots of DOODLING options below under TUTORIALS.
********************
We’d also like to welcome a SUPER exciting sponsor this week ~
the one and only PENNY BLACK!!
Check out the fabulous, amazing prizes on offer.

This little cutie is called Gentlest Kiss

I had a go at doodling - I'm useless at it - I can draw a picture easier than doodling - I need lots of practice I think.
I did have an attempt at a dragonfly but it's rubbish - there is another one under the ribbon
but that was even more rubbish, so I hid it!!!
I decided in the end to add a curly coat to my bear with pencils, I used Prismas in lighter shades on the lighter areas and darker on the shadows. I think He looks cute with curly hair, I just hope Penny Black don't mind LOL!!

If the sky looks a little patchy - that is my cat, just adding his own personal touch. Sadly I didn't have time to start again so I just blended it in as best I could.

I'm not having the best of weeks so far. I've spent most of today sorting my computer out
- so far so good, keep your fingers crossed for me.

Simon Says ...........lets play BINGO!!!

Thanks you for all your 'fruity' entries in the Simon Says Stamp challenge last week - enough for us all to have a fruit salad.

This week we would like you to join in a game of BINGO, check out the other design team's fabulous 'bingo cards'

I used the bottom line across - shape, ribbon and sentiment

We, the design team are featuring The Greeting Farm's images and I chose this little cutie call Chelsea, she is or course coloured in Copics then cut out and mounted on a Nestabilites  Labels 4. I used papers from Basic Grey's Curio pad. The music stamp is by Kaiser Craft and the corners cut with Cuttlebug vintage corners. The sentiment are from Hero Arts. I've used ribbon is from my stash.
I've got my dozy head on this morning - I've forgotten to photograph the reverse side of the card with the main sentiments on - I shall do this later.

As always, you can win this INCREDIBLE prize and a huge thank you to Heidi and the team at Simon Says Stamp for providing an amazing prize week after week!

lovely hAnglars only

This has been sat in my drafts for a couple of days waiting to be posted, as it's for
the lovely hAnglar's only challenge I thought I'd better post it before the challenge ended and  I missed it, I've been good at that recently!!

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these images when I first saw them and fortunately the sketch suits them fairly well. I cut the center from the card using nesties and the image is placed on the inside of it.
I stamped my little mermaid, masked her then stamped the little merman. Both images were masked and the seaweed stamped over them. I finally stamped the fish and masked a little of the seaweed. I can hardly believe I managed to get them all in the right order for a change - probably a lucky accident.
I used Magnolia swirls around the edge of the image to represent seaweed, and at the bottom some lace, some clear Magnolia chandeliers and some pearl drops.  It needed something else so I cut/tore a left over piece of my mosquito netting to add to it.  I'm nearly at the end of this and found it so useful I can see myself buying another curtain when it finished.

This is the inside of the card and I shall add a sentiment at the top when I decide what, when, where and how etc.

Right I shall go and have another fight with Mr. Blogger and see if he will let me do some commenting without the performance of trying several times before managing to actually arrive on a blog!!

Framed - LIM

I missed LIM last week, I did start but then the LOTV release date for the new summer girls was brought forward so I dropped everything to get some 'Sneak Peeks' done. When I mosied over to the LIM challenge blog this morning to suss out this week's challenge guess what I spied - I'd been mentioned in dispatches!!!
I'm showing my age using that term aren't I so perhaps I should just say I've been showcased - I can't tell you how exciting this is, especially as I don't find LIM easy, although it is a marvelous discipline!!

I've been itching to ink up and colour this image since I got it, I stamped it up, started colouring it in and when I looked at this weeks LIM challenge the lovely Mandi & Chrissy want us to put it 'In the Frame'. As part of this image is in a frame I'm hoping it counts, if not just throw me out, evict me.
I love Stamps Happen stamps, they have some fabulous images and this one is called 'It's Magic' and is coloured in Copics.
Nothing much else to say about it other that the photograph looks a little blurred - I think I need photography lessons!!!

Perhaps because I'm earlier this week I might just manage to get round to visiting more of you, blogger permitting as I have been having problems commenting like many of you!!

Basic Grey & a Sneak Peek!!

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our Shabby Chic challenge at Basic Grey. Your entries were all absolutely fabulous and we really enjoyed looking at them all.

Our next challenge for you all is a lovely colour combo which actually features in a lot of BasicGrey papers HOT PINK, LIME GREEN and BROWN/KRAFT.

The fabulous Debbie Dolphin is joining us again for our challenge although unfortunately this is her last challenge with us. We would like to say a huge thank you to Debbie for joining us, it has been lovely working with you and thanks for sharing your amazing creations.

Now you who know me know I don't do 'hot' colours so I really struggled with this one and these colours are as good as it gets for me!! The papers I've used are the Kraft, Lily Kate and Eva. My image is one of the new, soon to be released (14th June) Lili of the Valley summer girls and this one is Emma on Swing, so adorable to colour!! The sentiment is one of the original Lili of the Valley ones.
The flowers are mainly Wild Orchid crafts with a few from my stash along with the ribbon which is also from stash.

I think this card qualifies for the following challenges
Totally Gorgeous - Flower Power
Totally Papercrafts  - Summer

As always, our wonderful sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore, just think of the goodies you could treat yourself to with that !!

Sneak Peek time again!!

I have another Lili of the Valley 'sneak peek' for you this morning. This is Milly - Me and my Dog - aren't they both so sweet!!

Milly and her friend are coloured with copic (listed below - whoo-hoo - I remember to list and not throw the list away - probably because I haven't cleared my mess up yet. Next job on the list as I hate it when I can't see my desk or the floor!!) The sentiment is from the Mixed Circular sentiment set, the papers are from Bearly Mine,  the flowers from Wild Orchid crafts and the leaves cut with a Crealies die. The lace is some seam binding lace my lovely friend America sent me (she really spoils me I can tell you!!)

Copics used
Hair YR02, 20, 23, 37, 79
Clothes B0000, 91, 93, 97

Simon Says.........Let's get Fruity........photo inspiration

Thanks to you all for fabulous entries to our 'Father's Day'  challenge.

This week at the Simon Says Stamp challenge we would like you to get Fruity !!!

Whenever food is mentioned in relationship to cards there is only one thing I think of and that's my House Mouse stamps. These little chaps (and chapesses) real love their food, all food of all types!!!
This is one pretty huge stamp, the card is 6x6" and as you see the image practically covers it which doesn't leave much room for embellishments of any kind.
The image is called Juggling Raspberries, coloured with Copics which was a little difficult as it was sent to me by a friend and not stamped on Copic paper. The dp is by Basic Grey but I'm not entirely sure which pad as I dropped my box of pads and many of the pages flew out, the patterned ones I can place but the plainer ones I'm not sure!!!
I added some swirls  cut from Leaf & swirl Doohickey die, made some flowers with cut with the Sizzix 3D flower die, and stickled both the swirls and flowers with Stardust Stickles.

As always, you can win this INCREDIBLE prize and  thank you to Heidi and staff at Simon Says Stamp for providing an amazing prize week after week!

Please be sure to link up directly to your blog post (not just your blog) so we can find your entry easily! ALSO, please turn off word verification! The Design Team often has hundreds of entries to get to, and that really slows us down!!! Thanks for joining us! Good luck & have fun!!!
